Best Of Times Bug Jar

It’s Kendra here again on this beautiful Thursday afternoon bringing you a wonderful project for all the bug collectors out there!  Are your children like mine; constantly catching bugs all year long?  Well, here is a solution for you!  Create a Bug Jar for them to house their bugs in while they study them.  Just be sure to house large enough bugs that they cannot crawl out through the holes!  Also, be sure not to give this jar to a child that is too young as it is glass and can break!

The supplies are very simple.  All you need is the Creative Memories Cricut Expression 2 that comes with the exclusive The Best Of Time Cricut Cartridge , A Jar (I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby and it is completely smooth on the sides) andVinyl in the following colors:  Black, Orange, White and Yellow.  You will also need the Crop-a-dile Big Bite to punch holes in the lid.  This will keep the lid from getting sharp like a traditional nail hole would.  🙂

Cut your Butterflies out at the following sizes: 2 at 1/2, 1, 1 1/2, 2 and 1 at 2 1/2 inches.  Arrange them from largest to smallest around your jar.  Cut a fresh branch of greenery and viola’ they are ready to bug hunting!

If you have not had a chance yet to purchase your Cricut Expression 2 be sure to head on over to Creative Memories or contact your local Creative Memories Consultant to order your today!

For a great video on how the features of the Cricut Expression 2 works be sure to check out my latest video!

What would you create with The new Cricut Expression 2 and The Best Of Times Cricut Cartridge?  What is your favorite Image on The Best Of Times Cricut Cartridge?  I would love to hear from you!

Happy Scrappin’

I have the Cricut expression purple one I got last November and was wondering if I should try and sell it and upgrade to the cricut2?
