Professional Bio: Michelle has been passionate about scrapbooking since the middle of 2005 and has been teaching since Jan 2006. She is currently married to the love of her life Jim and they have 2 lively adorable children James 6 and Malia 2.She resides in Valrico, Florida where the sun shines most of the time. She has a degree in Psychology but chooses to stay home with her kids. Her passion for scrapbooking began as a way to showcase pictures of her family but she soon realized it was more a way of life, documenting and recording the events that shape our lives. Michelle’s personal style reflects her personality little eclectic and whimsical with a sense of balance.  Her work is Shabby Chic Eclectic and very dimensional. She loves to create her own embellishments using the papers as a foundation. If you ask her students they would say she is very upbeat and has a ton of energy. She would just say that energy is just her passion for teaching. She has had the honor and distinction of teaching at CKU for 2 years and now will be at many CKCs, Scrapbook Expos, DSE. In 2 years she has traveled all over the USA, Canada 2 times, Holland 2 times, France, Italy, and Germany. She has also taught at CHA for Tattered Angels, Prima, and Graphic 45. 2009 she signed on with Canon. She will be traveling and teaching at many large events in 2010 for Canon. She also teaches for Tattered Angels, Graphic 45, Prima, Provo Craft, and product Designer for Prima. She created the “Video Scrapbook Teacher Kits” where you can purchase the kit and it comes with a full length Video walking you through each step. The class kits are same classes she has taught all over the world. In 2010 she attended the CHA trade show with Provo Craft and will be teaching internationally for their distributors. First stop on the road map Print Blocks in Australia in less than 2 weeks… Michelle has been published over 100 times in magazines all over the world.     We have a Michelle Van Essen here in Santa Fe. I thought you were her for a minute. Just saw the country cartridge on a current email. Would love to win that! If not, I’ll just have to buy it! Happy scrapping!
