Clock and Time Book

It is time to think about New Year’s Crafts and Journals. What will you keep note of this past year?  Cyndi of Lovely Lula Here. I created a book with the New Year in mind. I will use this as a journaling book for the next few weeks as I write and doodle about 2011.

I used my Cuttlebug and the Clockworks Embossing Folders to pull the details of this journaling book together. Once it is complete I will bind it on my YourStory. Here’s to the New Year.

Glue Stick
Modge Podge
Tacky Glue
Pink and Green Bazzil Basics Cardstock

Cricut Circle Event in Greenville, SC Layout and Calling Cards!

Hi, it’s Kendra here this Wednesday with a couple of projects to show you in relation to the Cricut Circle Event in Greenville South Carolina this past weekend!  So, while I was there, I created a really cool layout to pass around and have everyone sign as a momento!  (I am still waiting on my photo to arrive to finish the layout off… Sorry!)

The layout and Calling Cards were created using the brand new Go Canada! Cricut Cartridge and the Everyday Cricut Cricut Cartridge.

I also used the Cricut Circle Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Here are my finished cards to share with you all!  I love how they turned out!

VCR Recycled Craft

This week at Mixology Crafts we will be featuring projects that have grown out of the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” concept. Get ready to get inspired and get crafty with things you might have thrown away!

Cyndi of Lovely Lula Here. I have been on a cleaning streak since the kids went back to school a couple of weeks ago. I happened upon a drawer of VCR tapes I was holding on to. I knew I had to let them go and thought why not make a project out of them instead of just tossing them. So I made a vintage looking purse using a double case and the outer paper from My Fair Lady. I love it!

For the purple background I used Bazzill Basics Metallic paper and ran it through the Cuttlebug using the Peacock from the Animal Prints Embossing folder set.  For the female silhouette I used the “My Fair Lady” outer paper box, flattened, along with pink Bazzill Basic paper. I readied the papers onto mats and then used the Cricut Art Nouveau Cartridge to cut out the silhouettes.

The handle was created by braiding the actual VCR tape and using E-600 glue to attach to the sides. I finished it off by gluing down black and white striped ribbon along the edge and spray painting the inside of the box white.

Pink Skull Notebook

It’s Mixed Media Mania Week here at Mixology Crafts – that means we’ll all be mixing it up all week long and stop back over the weekend to view this weeks Hello Thursday Projects.

Cyndi of Lovely Lula Here. All this back to school talk got me thinking. I head back to school next week too, I teach at Arizona State University and thought – I want a fun new notebook. So I grabbed a plain black spiral bound notebook and went at it. Used glitter paper and pink masking tape. I also used pink card stock and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the skull and cross bones embossing folder included in the Happy Hauntings set. The pink skull on top is also cut on the the Cuttlebug using the Beware Die.

Lets Play Spin the Bottle using Something to Celebrate. Hello Thursday Release Party

Just posting a sneak peek of one our projects for the Provo Craft. We did the whole ensemble based around this spinner concept. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek. kendra will post more information on the process to make the spinner later today.

Lets Play Spin the Bottle 13th Birthday party.

Hi, it’s Kendra here again with a few more details about this amazing project!  It was created with Something To Celebrate and Stork’s Delivery Cricut Cartridges as well as the Cricut Expression, Design Studio, various Stickles and Beacon’s Liquid Laminate.  The base is a 2 inch wooden canvas and the spinner was created with a screw that was covered with embossing powder.  I can’t wait to use this project with my youngest daughters birthday.

Have a super Creative day

Michelle
