Imagine Notebook Doodles Cartridge Shoes

Cyndi of Lovely Lula Here. I LOVE the newest Imagine Cartridge called Notebook Doodles. Oh what fun I had.  I took an old pair of shoes, used white Gesso to cover them, allowed that to dry. I printed the little character designs onto iron on transfer paper. I then cut up the iron on paper and transferred it on to yellow cotton fabric and attached these patches to the shoe with glue. I then used Ranger Enamel Assents in black to outline the patches.

Thankful Art

Cyndi of Lovely Lula Here. This week I married the idea of affordable art with Thanksgiving. A few weeks ago when I created this Fall wreath I over printed onto the canvas with the YUDU screen I had prepared using the Simply Scarecrow Cartridge. I cut the leaves out that were in good shape and then with the rest of the canvas I tore it into strips and set it aside. So always save those scraps you can put them to good use later.

I used an inexpensive canvas that I picked up at the craft supply store as the base. I first painted it red with acrylic paint, then I used painters tape to tape off lines and I spray painted orange over top of that, once dry I peeled the tape off. Next I wrapped the painted canvas with the printed, torn strips and stapled them to the back. To hold them down I coated the piece with shellac. Once the canvas was dry, I glued the leaves down down to the surface. Finally, I used the Autumn Celebrations Cartridge and cut the word “thankful” out of gold vinyl and attached that to the piece. Now I have a fun, affordable piece of art for Thanksgiving.

Floral Emporium Baby Wall Hanging!

Hi everyone how are you? I just came back from an amazing weekend and I created this adorable wall hanging before I left but it did not get posted. I used the new Floral Emporium imagine cartridge and one of the basic shapes included on the imagine machine. The chose two pattern papers and the coordinating solid pink on the cartridge to create the cute little onsie.

Tip and trick: to decorate the onsie I used artificial flowers and flower trim green cut in half to create the diaper.

I hope everyone is having a great day

Summer Shells

Cyndi of Lovely Lula Here. I am just back from a wonderful Summer vacation, road tripping up the coast of California. At every beach my daughter collected shells. Now back home I thought “okay so what do I do with the shells now?” I remembered I still had an Ester basket around that I had been meaning to re-purpose. So I grabbed the basket and spray painted it aqua blue, and then wrapped it with a band of lawn chair webbing. I cut shells and the phrase “Sun, Sand, Sea” out of sand colored paper using my Cricut and the Creative Memories Travelers Cartridge*. I attached the paper to the front of the basket, loaded in the shells and boom – a perfect Summer memory basket.

Just posting a sneak peek of one our projects for the Provo Craft. We did the whole ensemble based around this spinner concept. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek. kendra will post more information on the process to make the spinner later today.

Lets Play Spin the Bottle 13th Birthday party.

Hi, it’s Kendra here again with a few more details about this amazing project!  It was created with Something To Celebrate and Stork’s Delivery Cricut Cartridges as well as the Cricut Expression, Design Studio, various Stickles and Beacon’s Liquid Laminate.  The base is a 2 inch wooden canvas and the spinner was created with a screw that was covered with embossing powder.  I can’t wait to use this project with my youngest daughters birthday.

Have a super Creative day

Sophie rocks… Beautiful Dress Form

Beautiful Dress Form: I am creating a few pieces of art for my studio. Iwas given these amazing wooden dress forms from Kaiser to alter.  I loved the cuts on the Sophie Cartridge. There are many demasks and ornate designs on this exclusive circle cartridge. This cartridge is exclusive to the circle members. To create this dress form paint the dress form gold colored. Cut the base layer of accent-7 and accent -4 at 3 inches out of chipboard. Cut the pattern paper out of the base shape of both accent cuts. The top layer of the accents paint gold and layer the patterned  paper over the chipboard base shape. Use a different pattern paper and cut triangles out and roll them up to create rolls. Cut the base heart out at 2 inches and paint red. The rolled paper will be layered on the bottom of the skirt. Add the chipboard layers to the skirt and the small flowers. We will be adding more projects all weekend long. I will be creating a dress form with a few of the cartridges so stay tuned. I love this release and I think you will too.

I hope you enjoy our projects. We will have more projects on the Provo Craft sight. Two of my projects were in the look book the blinged out princess tiara place card and card. I was so excited to see these projects. We created a beautiful party theme that will be on the site. I can not wait to see how the pictures turn out.
