Cat And Mouse Pictures – Great gift idea!

Hi! It’s Kendra Wiggins here again! With Christmas just around the corner, I thought that these pictures would be just perfect for those of you trying to think of things to make as gifts.

I spent the entire last week painstakingly stripping wall paper off of my daughters bedroom wall and painting her room a beautiful Twist of Lime shade of green. I designed these pictures to match her new room and as part of her Christmas gift. She is absolutely in love with Cats so I thought the Cat And Mouse theme would be precious. I chose the color by going to her quilt and they match just perfectly! I hope that you take the time and create a little homemade goodness for those that you love.

Autumn Celebrations Day of the Dead Planter Box

This week at Mixology Crafts we’re getting crafty with Flea Market Finds. Visit all week to see the goodies we picked up at our local flea markets and what we did with them!

Cyndi of Lovely Lula Here. I found a simple but inspiring square galvanized metal for that was screaming to become a planter box. I knew I wanted to play with the Cricut® Autumn Celebrations Cartridge for this one because there was a fun Day of the Dead* image on it. I cut the layers of of the skull image out of different colors of vinyl on my Cricut. Once those layers were in place I edged the metal box with masking tape that has a black background and glow in the dark dots. I enhanced the dots with the YUDU glow in the dark ink. I then used Ranger Inkssentials Enamel Accents in black and white to dot the rest of the image. I allowed it to fully dry and then placed a miniature pepper plant inside.

Happy crafting xoxo Cyndi aka Lovely Lula Follow me on Twitter I am Lab5.

*Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where it attains the quality of a National Holiday. The celebration takes place on November 1st and 2nd, in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls’ Day (November 2). Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts.

Beach Frame (Creative Memories Traveler) Cartridge

Happy Wednesday, as Summer kicks in and everyone is heading on vacation to their favorite hot spot, don’t forget to take your cricut. The Creative Memories Traveler is great cartridge to use to help capture and record your trip. I created this cute frame for a picture of my 2 crazy kids hamming it up on the beach. I used beach sand and distress stickes to add a little dimension to the pieces. I will add instructions later. I need to get ready for tomorrow. So much to do and so many more projects to create. have a super creative day and vactation.

Camera Bag Tag Creative Memories Traveler…

Hello Thursday Take 2: 6 new cartridges featured Here

Creative Memories Traveler luggage tag

I love creating tags that are very unique. I made this girly luggage tag for my very masculine camera bag. I  used grunge board to create the tag and glossy accents to seal the tag.  I embossed the top piece of the luggage tag with the gears 2×12 embossing folder and painted the whole tag pink paint. I cut the camera out at 2.0 inches from grunge board, painted it black, and colored the inner area and strap silver.

Creative Memories has a home run hit once again!  This is the perfect cartridge for those who love to travel and all things summer!  It would also be great for school projects as well as decorating your home.  This travel-themed cartridge is filled with images such as summer suns, luggage tags, vehicles, and highway signs.   You will also love the two playful fonts included on this cartridge. Use the latest Cricut® cartridges to create unique and engaging designs for every occasion. The versatility of the cartridges will surprise even the most imaginative crafters.  You don’t want to miss out on this amazing cartridge.  This cartridge is available exclusively through Creative Memories starting July 1.

I created this luggage tag using the Base feature Tag3 and Tag3-s at 3 1/2 inches.

Cut the camera 2.0 inches icon feature (camera and camera-s)

I used the gears 2×12 embossing template

I’m Maggie from Passionately Artistic with an easy way to pay tribute to your car, The beep beep cart is so much fun with all the cars, trucks etc… You can really do some fun projects. This is the first time I’ve created a lo about my car, we’ve been through tragedy and good times together for the past 17 years, and the birth of my dd.

I have to tell you a quick story about Mer, I’ve always been a car aficionado, something I inherited from my dad. When I found out Mercedes Benz was coming out with a limited edition. 2 months after the release I went to the dealer spent 7 hours in the sales office negotiating (wearing them down) until I got the right price and the adds on I wanted. Afterward the Finance mgr offered me a  job 🙂

Here’s MER!

Love at first site Manarola,Cinque Terre

Hi Everyone,

Happy Friday! Maggie here today with an easy 15 mtes layout. You hear all the time love at first sight, I’ve not had the pleasure to experienced it first hand until my first trip to the Cinque Terre, Italy. It’s 5 villages that are interconnected by the train, the biggest of the villages is Riomaggiore. 3 of the 5 villages don’t allow cars traffic in the center of the town, which makes it so pleasant to walk around.

I did fall in love with Manarola at first site, the amazing colours of the houses, little village perch on the side of a mountain, where it’s easy to walk. All the seafood is catch on a daily basis, yeah it was love at first bite as well 🙂

Lately I’ve been falling in love with dictionary pages, but there’s a trick to get them to cut right on the Cricut due to their thinness, you have to use the same setting you would for Vinyl, once you use those setting then it’s a piece of cake.

Remember you will get frayed edges, and some cuts that just add to the shabyness of the flower.

Provo Craft Mother’s day bouquet cartridge, Basic Grey rhinestones, Stampin’up date stamp, Markspapercompany paper, Prima brads,Ranger stickles (Cinnamon), SEI buttons, Cuttlebug embossing folder (European), SEI pattern paper, Bazill basic paper bitter chocolate, mocha.

  • Cut 6 flowers using Mother’s day bouquet at 3.25″, 2.75″,2.5 from dictionary paper, cut 3 flowers at 2″ , using pattern paper. Ink the edges, add brad in the center, cut another  3 flowers at 1″, ink the edges, add rhinestone to the center.
  • Cut a strip of the Marks paper 3″,ink the edges, adhere to the brown paper to the right, cut another strip at .50″ adhere to the right of the larger strip.
  • Cut a 5×7 mat emboss with Cuttlebug European folder, adhere to the strips, add the flowers to the right of the mat, add Basic Grey rhinestones. Add the remaining 3 small flowers to the left of the mat.
  • Cut 4 circles from the pattern paper, ink the edges, adhere to the left and right of the chocolate paper, add buttons and rhinestones.
  • Stamp the date on cardstock, ink the edges, adhere to the bottom left of the large strip.

Voila an easy layout in less than 15mtes.

Have a fabulous weekend!
