Summer Favorites

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is pick fresh fruit at the local farm and make jam for the rest of the year. With summer coming to an end and school just around the corner… I thought it would be fun to share jam that we made this past week. The boys were so proud of themselves that they asked to give them to their teachers on the first day of school.

Our boys had so much fun running through the rows and picking rasberries. I think they may have ate more than they put in the basket.

To make the decorative tags use the essentials cartridge that come preloaded on the Cricut Expression 2 and cut a circle 2.75″. I then added a flower, the word jam, and a ribbon.

Enjoy the last few days of summer break… have a great week!

Thanks,

Addison Paige

Monogrammed Acrylic Glass With Art Nouveau!

I was at Walmart the other day and saw these double walled acrylic  drinking glasses and thought that they would be so cute to dress up with a little vinyl and the new Art Nouveau Cricut Cartridge.

I just love how my monogramed acrylic glass tuned out.

This was oh so simple to make and would be a great present for a teacher or friend and the cost was very minimal.  The acrylic glass was only $2.50 and the Vinyl I used was left over from another project.

The only materials you need are the Cricut Expression 2, The Art Nouveau Cricut Cartridge, 3 colors of vinyl, transfer tape and an acrylic drinking glass.

My monogram is cut at 2.75inches for all of the layers and only took a few minutes to assemble!

My 17 year old informed me she would like to make one for all of her friends.  I think this will be a great project that we can spend some quality time making them together!  🙂

Initialed Protective Sleeve For My New Boredom Buster!

I am heading out this weekend for my annual Journey to Chicago and  Summer CHA!  I am so exited but will end up with a lot of airport sitting and flying and decided to purchase a Nook to help pass the time!  I don’t really like the book covers and decided I would make my own protective sleeve that matches one of my Paprika Vera Bradley purses.

It was pretty simple to make with basic sewing skills.  I added my initials to the sleeve using the Creative Memories Stork’s Delivery Cricut Cartridge, The Cricut Expression 2 and A small piece of yellow fabric with Heat-N-Bond ironed to the back.  The initials are cut at 3 inches in lowercase letters and are just ironed on.

I love how my Nook Sleeve turned out and can’t wait to start using it!
